SSAT Study Series

Since most students are on winter break right now, this can be an opportune time to do some extra preparation for the upcoming SSAT on January 9, 2016, which is required by most boarding schools as part of the admissions process. We’ve written a three-part SSAT Study Series with tips on how to prepare for the exam, broken down by section:

  1. Reading and Verbal
    First, we’ll delve into the Reading and Verbal section, with tips on how to prepare. From reading and flashcards to playing games, we cover several ways you can ready yourself for this portion of the test.
  2. Math and Quantitative Reasoning
    In the second blog of the series, we’ll discuss the Math and Quantitative Reasoning section. In this blog we’ll explain how this section functions and what to expect on it, as well as tips on how to practice and discuss whether or not you can use a calculator.
  3. Writing
    The third and final blog covers the writing sample. We go over several important practice components that can make it easier for you to master this part of the test.

Remember that while there’s no set curriculum that will prepare for you this exam, there are specific strategies that can help you do your best.
