You have carefully crafted the perfect admission essay, aced the interview, got glowing recommendations from your teachers, and filled pages and pages with all the wonderful and interesting facts that make you the perfect candidate for your top school--and you did all this by the February 1st deadline!
Well, first, congratulations on completing such a difficult task. Be confident that you will find a place that fits you perfectly in the coming months and for now just sit back and relax (a little) and give yourself a pat on the back for a job well-done.
Waiting is tough, we know that, but there are plenty of things to do in the meantime.
-Most of your admission decisions will arrive electronically or by mail on or around March 10th. At that point you will need to decide which schools are your top choices and plan to attend their "revisit days". These days will give you one more chance to make sure the school is right for you. So over the next few weeks think about your top schools and what you will want to see if you are invited to revisit.
-Make sure any final financial aid/scholarship materials are completed and sent in to your schools.
-Continue to do well in school. Your next school will want to see your final grades before you begin and it is important that they are still strong or your acceptance may be in jeopardy.
-Finally, get some exercise, have some fun with friends and family, and focus on the positive. The waiting will be over before you know it!
