How did you hear about Cheshire Academy?
My brother went here, and a friend of the family recommended it.
What are some of your extracurricular activities?
String Ensemble (cello), Computer Club, Cheshire Prep, class officer
What class or extracurricular activity means the most to you?
String ensemble means the most to me because I am very interested in music and enjoy playing the cello.
What are the people like at Cheshire Academy? Students? Faculty?
The students are nice—it feels like a family here.
How would you describe your classes? Does any specific project or lesson stand out in your mind?
At first I was really surprised because the teachers are so different here. In Korea, the teachers speak and the students listen. Here, class participation is so important.
My favorite class is English. There are a lot of discussions and everyone shares their opinions, so I get to hear what other students are thinking.
How have you grown most as a person during your time here?
I have become more responsible for myself, and I have to respect others who I live with.
What is one of your favorite memories from CA so far?
Our last Winter Concert was great—our String Ensemble performed and played for our fellow students and faculty, which was a new experience for me.
What advice would you give to prospective students who are thinking about coming to CA?
Prepare to study a lot!
